1) General Information
This website is operated by Dayanna Rent a Car & Activities (“Dayanna”, “we”, “our”, “us”).

By accessing and using this site and our services, you agree to the following policies and terms.
2) Booking & Reservation
- Deposit to reserve: A $100 USD deposit is required to confirm your reservation.
- Where you pick up: Vehicle pick-up takes place in San Juan del Sur, Nicaragua.
- What to bring: Please send a photo of your passport via WhatsApp to secure your booking; you may be asked to present the passport at pick-up.
- Balance at pick-up: Pay the remaining rental balance in cash (USD) and provide the refundable security deposit (see section 3).

3) Security Deposit (Refundable)
Payable in cash at pick-up and refunded after vehicle inspection at return.
- Daily/Weekly rentals: $200 USD
- 15+ day rentals: $300 USD
- Monthly rentals: $500 USD
The deposit may be used to cover unpaid fuel, traffic fines, tolls, lost keys, excessive cleaning, damage, or other contractually allowed charges.
4) Payments & Methods
- Cash on pick-up (USD): Preferred method.
- Bank transfer: BAC and LAFISE (details provided on request).
- Card via Sitipago: Available; a 6% processing fee is charged by the payment provider.
Note: Processing fees from third-party providers may be non-refundable per the provider’s policy.
5) Insurance & Accident / Claims Policy
- No “full cover”: We do not offer full-cover insurance.
- Passenger insurance: Can be arranged separately upon request (please ask before pick-up).
If you are in an accident:
- Stop and wait for the police to arrive.
- Contact us on WhatsApp +505 7526 8547 as soon as possible.
- Follow local authorities’ instructions and complete the report.
Any claim handling must follow local legal procedures and your rental agreement.
6) Cancellations & Changes (Flexible Policy)
- We are very flexible with itinerary changes and cancellations.
- Family bereavement or similar emergencies: We will reschedule or refund at your request.
- $100 USD deposit: If you cancel, the $100 USD is returned under our flexible policy.
Please notify us as early as possible via WhatsApp for any change or cancellation.
7) Vehicle Use & Responsibility
- Use the vehicle lawfully and safely and return it in the same condition (normal wear accepted).
- You are responsible for any fines, tolls, and damages occurring during your rental.
- Unless stated otherwise in your rental agreement, vehicles are for use within Nicaragua.
8) Transfers (Optional Service)
We can arrange private transfers to/from San Juan del Sur:
- Liberia (LIR, Costa Rica) ⇄ San Juan del Sur
- Managua (MGA, Nicaragua) ⇄ San Juan del Sur
Book via WhatsApp for pricing & availability. We coordinate pick-up time, (for Liberia) border timing, and drop-off.
9) Privacy Notice (What we collect & why)
- Contact details you provide (name, phone, WhatsApp, email) to manage your booking.
- Passport photo provided via WhatsApp, used only to confirm your reservation and identity. We do not retain the passport photo beyond what is necessary to confirm the booking and comply with applicable law.
- Operational messages (dates, flight info, pick-up details) to deliver the service you requested.
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only as needed to operate our services (e.g., payment processors) or when required by law.
10) Comments & Media (Website)
- If you leave a comment on the site (if enabled), we collect the data shown in the form, your IP address and browser user-agent to help with spam detection.
- An anonymized string (hash) of your email may be sent to Gravatar to check if you use it (see Gravatar privacy). After approval, your profile picture is visible next to your comment.
- If you upload images, avoid EXIF GPS data; visitors could download images and extract location data.
11) Cookies (Website)
- If you comment, you can opt-in to save your name, email, and website in cookies for convenience (lasts up to 1 year).
- If you visit the login page, we set a temporary cookie to check if your browser accepts cookies (no personal data; deleted when you close the browser).
- When you log in (if applicable), we set cookies for login and display preferences. “Remember Me” keeps you logged in for 2 weeks; logout removes these cookies.
- When you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie may be set (no personal data) and expires after 1 day.
12) Embedded Content
Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g., videos, images, articles). Embedded content from other websites behaves as if you visited those websites directly and may collect data and use cookies according to their own policies.
13) Data Retention & Your Rights
- Comments and their metadata may be kept indefinitely.
- If user accounts exist, we store the personal information users provide in their profiles. Users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except usernames). Administrators can also see and edit that information.
- You can request a copy or deletion of your personal data we hold, except where we must retain certain data for administrative, legal, or security reasons.
14) Where Your Data Is Sent
Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.
15) Changes to These Terms & Policies
We may update these Terms & Policies from time to time. Changes are effective upon posting on this page with the updated effective date.
